Get involved and get social
When we work with C-level executives to build personal and business brands through LinkedIn, we have a very specific two-pronged strategy:
Do anything to be a speaker at conferences or other conferences that people attend in person. I've given more than 200 presentations over the past few years, some of which are venues the size of the New York Stock Exchange, and some are only local Rotary clubs. Paid or unpaid, I do my best to speak in public. When you're on stage, the audience will think you're an expert in the field. After all, you've already been vetted by someone associated with an association/group they trust (e.g. a conference organizer).
Connect with people in your audience on LinkedIn and engage in two specific activities:
Produce content designed to help you train your target market (this is the marketing component)
Send a personal message to the Latest Mailing Database person with whom you want to talk further (this is the sales/business development component)

Transform and grow your business with LinkedIn
There are a lot of great social media tools you can use to grow your business, but I think LinkedIn is the best. Every company wants more leads, traffic, and sales, and there are some key things you can do on LinkedIn to transform and grow your business.
First and foremost, create a company LinkedIn page . If you don't have a page initially, people won't be able to connect with your business.
Next, boost the page , whether it's encouraging company employees to follow and share posts, or adding a company LinkedIn profile to the footer of all emails. Add a follow button on the company website and share on other active social media channels.
Third, be proactive . This is a very important step and means that content should be published and shared on a regular basis. LinkedIn users love to see you have something to say, and increased content exposure can help you build a business with authority and respect. The more content you publish, the more people you reach, and the best LinkedIn pages are those that are constantly updated to ensure that visitors can use and share a lot of new content.
There are a few other things you can do to make sure your posts are successful, like adding links to your posts, and images, and replying to comments, all of which have been shown to increase engagement on your posts.
